About me
I am a scientific and medical writer with a PhD in Neuroscience, a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and more than 20 years of international experience in academic research at leading institutions in the United States, Austria, and Switzerland. During my doctoral and postdoctoral training, I studied how brain areas governing hearing, balance, learning, memory, and sleep form and maintain their connections, building a broad foundation in biomedical research and scientific discovery.
Alongside my research career, I developed extensive expertise in scientific writing and communication. I authored peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals, including multiple articles in Neuron (Cell Press), I secured highly competitive research funding, and was awarded prestigious international fellowships, including the NIH National Research Service Award (NRSA) in the United States, the EMBO Long-Term Fellowship, and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship from the European Commission. These achievements required not only scientific excellence, but also the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to reviewers, funding agencies, and the broader scientific community. Throughout this time, I also mentored students and early-career researchers in scientific writing, manuscript preparation, grant applications, and scientific presentations, and contributed to scientific writing workshops and training activities.
These experiences naturally led me toward a career centered on scientific communication. The same skills that enabled me to publish in leading journals, secure competitive funding, and train students and researchers now form the foundation of the consulting services, workshops, and educational programs I offer today. My goal is to help others share their work with confidence and achieve the impact it deserves.
