My background is in biochemistry, cell biology, and neuroscience, giving me a broad foundation across the life sciences - but my expertise is scientific communication. I routinely work with projects from different scientific and medical disciplines; including neuroscience, hepatology, radiology, and other biomedical fields. My role is to help researchers communicate their work clearly, logically, and effectively.
Do you work with clients outside Switzerland?

Yes. I work with clients worldwide and regularly collaborate through online meetings and email. As I am based in Basel, Switzerland, I am also happy to meet in person when feasible.
What is it like to work with you? What can I expect from the editing or consulting process?

Every project begins with a complimentary introductory meeting to discuss your goals and determine how I can best support you. Together we define the scope, timeline, and priorities. Whether you need help developing ideas, improving a draft, or refining specific sections, I tailor my support to your needs and keep communication open throughout the project.
Do you offer strategic feedback as well as language editing?

Yes. I provide both strategic scientific writing guidance and language editing. Depending on your needs, I can help strengthen the overall narrative, improve clarity and structure, and refine the language. This applies to manuscripts, grant and fellowship applications, theses, dissertations, conference materials, and other scientific documents.
Who are the workshops designed for?

My workshops are designed for undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, clinicians, and professionals in academia and industry. Each workshop is tailored to the audience and can cover topics such as scientific writing, grammar and style, publication strategy, ethical use of AI, and practical writing exercises.
Do you offer workshops online, in person, or both?

Yes. Workshops can be delivered either in person or online and are adapted to the audience, learning objectives, and available time.
What languages do you communicate in?

I work in both English and Portuguese and can also communicate in German. Scientific writing support, editing, and workshops are currently offered in English. Having developed my own scientific writing skills as a non-native English speaker, I understand the challenges many researchers face when writing for international journals and conferences.
Absolutely. I treat every project as confidential and am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) when required.

Will my work remain confidential?
Do you use AI when editing scientific documents?

AI can be a useful tool when used responsibly, but it should never replace scientific expertise or critical judgment. I follow current recommendations for the ethical use of AI and discuss its appropriate role with clients when relevant. Every project receives careful human review and scientific input.
